On 21 January 2026, the Ministry of Interior issued a press release on the situation following the ceasefire agreement from 6:00 AM on 20 January to 6:00 AM on 21 January 2026.

Approximately 520,000 people, equivalent to about 80 percent of the total of more than 640,000 displaced persons, have returned to their homes.
